MARKET OF ANDROID

Canaly research firm estimates that in Q2 2009, Android has its share of 2.8% of the entire smartphone market in the world. In the next quarter, Android 's market share rose to 3.5 %. In February 2010, according to ComScore, the Android platform obtain 9% market share smartphone platform. The figure rose 5.2 % in November 2009. In July 2010 ComScore revise Android 's market share for the three months namely March, April, and May 2010, reaching 13%, this percentage increase of 4 points. Analytics firm Flurry estimates that 250,000 Droid phones have been sold in the United States mobile phone store in the first week.

In May 2010, sales of Android in the U.S. in the first quarter surpassed rival the iPhone platform. According to reports from grub NPD, sales of Android smartphones accounted for 28 % d the U.S. market, up 8 % from the December quarter. In the second quarter, Apple IOS increased by 1 %, it shows that Android is taking market share from RIM and the iPhone in particular still have to keep up with consumer demand with the supply of new competitors. In addition, the analysis shows excess Android as a multi -channel, multi -carrier OS, which has made it possible to duplicate the success of Mocrosoft Windows Mobile.
According to Eric Schmidt in The Guardian, Android is getting 160,000 new users every day ( end of June 2010 ), an increase of 100,000 per day in May 2010. On August 4, 2010 Google to enable 200,000 new phones for the Android platform every day. In mid- October 2010, Android applications will be available in 32 countries.
Market research from Gartner reports that by the end of 3rd quarter 2010, Android has a 25.5% market share worldwide. ComScore reported at the end of 3rd quarter 2010, sales of Android smartphones in the United States rose 15% from the previous 3 month period.
